Today, I felt damn nervous and euphoric. It's the sec 2s first National Footdrill Competition and we are trying our best to do well in it. We have been practising like almost 3 months and there's no way for us to not win anything. The tense increases when we need to get ready for our turn. The area was too small but we managed to do it. We did some mistakes but we still show confidence. I nearly fall because I stepped on my own boots but gladly I did not. In the hall, we were praying non-stop. I seriously want to at least get to the next round because we have been practising real hard for our fancy drill. We were holding our hands together. For East District, second runner up is Siglap Sec, then as they announced Tanjong Katong Sec for first runner-up, we seriously have no hope and lose our confidence. I was astounded as we heard Tanjong again for champion and we knew it is us and we shouted like crazy. Jun yu and I were shedding tears of joy. We could not believe our ears! Alhamdulilah, praise to God, we did it. We shall not be too proud because there's still one more round and we need to focus on it. For best commander award, we were hoping for our ma'am to win it. At first when they announced the sir name, I didn't really know who she/he was. I totally forgot my ma'am sir name but as they announced the name, then we were totally shocked. Our unit was shouting like crazy. We were too elated about it.Well, fancy drill was quite okay. We were not that nervous because we knew that we can do it. We have trust for each other. We did not really coordinate but we did our best. We were hoping to get top 3 but even though we did not get it we felt obliged. We already done our best and hope that for those who entered FDC next year, they'll do well and maybe get to top 3. Who knows. But I love today.
